SECURITY POLICY STATEMENT

Preamble
The International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (‘IMSHOF’) recognizes the importance of an effective security program to protect the organizations’ Honorees, Awards Winners, Executive Committee Members, Selectors, Patrons, Nominees, Nominators, Volunteers, Newsletter Recipients, Website/Social Media fans/sites/posts, assets, information, integrity, and reputation from potential threats.
Security Core Principles
The organization is guided by our operations under the umbrella of our parent the International Swimming Hall of Fame, concern for safety at the annual Induction/Award Ceremony, Website/Social Media and personal contact information.
Policy

IMSHOF relies on third-party providers for Website/Social Media to provide IT security.

IMSHOF relies on the International Swimming Hall of Fame and third-party providers for all commercial ordering transactions. IMSHOF never sees, touches or holds individuals' credit card, banking or other payment details.

IMSHOF limits the number of individuals with Website/Social Media log-in access to fewer than 10.

The individual’s personal information is limited to the following: contact information (email, phone, physical address, and 2nd contact), Selector’s votes and Nominator/Nominee/Form details.

All incidents, including security breaches and irregularities, must be reported and recorded. Corrective action should be taken and followed up through regular verifications to improve the overall security standard of the IMSHOF.

Where Inductees/Nominees are suspected of violating IMSHOF ethics rules, IMSHOF will seek to resolve questions with the least publicity possible to protect all reputations.
